THE IFA CALL FOR ALL ANARCHISTS TO STAND AGAINST NATO
The 2025 NATO Summit will take place at the World Forum in The Hague, Netherlands, from June 24 to 26. As the war machine gathers thousands of delegates from its 32 member states to orchestrate the next great wave of military expansion, we must not meet it with silence. We must raise a banner of defiance and resistance.
NATO does not exist to protect us. It serves the interests of states, corporations, and the oligarchical few at the expense of the many. The state, NATO, or any other multi-national military alliance, does not bring us safety, it brings us control seeking only our obedience, compliance, and capitulation. Whether it’s the endemic police violence in our communities or the blood-soaked battlefields of Ukraine and oceans of debris in Gaza, we have a single enemy: capitalism and the state.
Since its inception in 1947, NATO has only acted as an enforcer of imperialist violence, a tool of repression, and an engine of war. It is no protector of peace. It is our class enemy and a direct threat to the lives and well-being of each of us. Our struggle is not between nations, it is between the ruling class and all of us who resist. This continues to be true, even during the brutal realities of war.
Under the guise of European and national security, NATO governments are funnelling billions into military budgets while slashing vital social services. As they build armies, they leave us to fight for basic survival. They impose austerity while they hoard resources for war. They build armies while we struggle for healthcare, housing, and basic dignity.
We watch daily as they every more turn to the next generation and prepare for them to take up arms, stripped of opportunity, see no option but to sign up to become cannon fodder in conflicts not of their making, sold on adventure, fraternity and patriotism. When they return, maimed and broken, they are discarded, useful only as symbols for empty parades. A small few banded around day time shows the propaganda never ending.
We call on anarchists, anti-authoritarians, and all those who oppose war to gather, to organize, and to resist militarism. NATO and its warlords will meet, but so will we. We will take to the streets. We will disrupt their displays of power. We will forge networks of solidarity and we will stand in direct opposition to their wars, their militarized police, and their repression of our movements.
We anarchists fight for a world without borders, without states, and without the armies that uphold their rule. We call for international solidarity against NATO and every manifestation of militarized oppression whether the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Peninsula Shield Force (PSF), the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), the ReArm Europe Plan 2030 or any other so-called “collective security” pact or army. By any name, they serve the same purpose: to uphold domination through force, to perpetuate suffering across the world.
The weapons they use to secure resources today, will be turned on us tomorrow.
We call upon all anarchists, anti-authoritarians, and anti-militarists to take action on these days in The Hague and around the world in international solidarity. Let the specifics of our plans grow together. Organise together and prepare our actions, together we will let them know: We reject the false choices of nationalism. We reject the false idea NATO, that is there to protect. We reject the brutality of their militarism and the martial doctrines of war. We reject their proposed budgets which will starve the coffers of the working class and we support the victims and the deserters of all wars.
No war among peoples, no peace among classes.

LA IFA LLAMA A TODXS LXS ANARQUISTAS A LEVANTARSE CONTRA LA OTAN
La Cumbre de la OTAN de 2025 tendrá lugar en el Foro Mundial de La Haya, Holanda, del 24 al 26 de junio. Mientras la máquina de guerra reúne a miles de delegados de sus 32 estados miembros para orquestar la próxima gran ola de expansión militar, no debemos enfrentarnos a ella con el silencio. Debemos levantar una bandera de desafío y resistencia.
La OTAN no existe para protegernos. Sirve a los intereses de Estados, corporaciones y unos pocos oligarcas a expensas de la mayoría. El estado, la OTAN, o cualquier otra alianza militar multinacional, no nos trae seguridad, nos trae control buscando sólo nuestra obediencia, conformidad y capitulación. Ya se trate de la violencia policial endémica en nuestras comunidades o de los campos de batalla ensangrentados de Ucrania y los océanos de escombros en Gaza, tenemos un único enemigo: el capitalismo y el Estado.
Desde su creación en 1947, la OTAN sólo ha actuado como un ejecutor de la violencia imperialista, una herramienta de represión y un motor de guerra. No es un protector de la paz. Es nuestro enemigo de clase y una amenaza directa para la vida y el bienestar de cada unx de nosotrxs. Nuestra lucha no es entre naciones, es entre la clase dominante y todxs lxs que resistimxs. Esto sigue siendo cierto, incluso durante las brutales realidades de la guerra.
Con el pretexto de la seguridad europea y nacional, los gobiernos de la OTAN invierten miles de millones en presupuestos militares mientras recortan servicios sociales vitales. Mientras construyen ejércitos, nos dejan luchar por la supervivencia básica. Imponen austeridad mientras acaparan recursos para la guerra. Construyen ejércitos mientras nosotros luchamos por la sanidad, la vivienda y la dignidad básica.
Observamos a diario cómo se dirigen cada vez más a la siguiente generación y se preparan para que tomen las armas: despojadxs de oportunidades, no ven otra opción que alistarse para convertirse en carne de cañón en conflictos que no son obra suya, vendidxs a la aventura, la fraternidad y el patriotismo. Cuando regresan, mutiladxs y destrozadxs, son descartadxs, útiles sólo como símbolos para desfiles vacíos. Unxs pocxs agrupadxs durante el día muestran la propaganda sin fin.
Llamamos a lxs anarquistas, antiautoritarixs y a todxs lxs que se oponen a la guerra a reunirse, organizarse y resistir al militarismo. La OTAN y sus señorxs de la guerra se reunirán, pero nosotrxs también. Saldremos a la calle. Interrumpiremos sus demostraciones de poder. Forjaremos redes de solidaridad y nos opondremos directamente a sus guerras, a su policía militarizada y a la represión de nuestros movimientos.
Lxs anarquistas luchamos por un mundo sin fronteras, sin estados y sin los ejércitos que sostienen su dominio. Llamamos a la solidaridad internacional contra la OTAN y toda manifestación de opresión militarizada, ya sea la Organización del Tratado del Atlántico Norte (OTAN), la Organización del Tratado de Seguridad Colectiva (OTSC), la Fuerza Escudo Peninsular (FEP), la Alianza de Estados del Sahel (AES), el Plan Rearmar Europa 2030 o cualquier otro pacto o ejército de la llamada «seguridad colectiva». Con cualquier nombre, sirven al mismo propósito: mantener la dominación mediante la fuerza, perpetuar el sufrimiento en todo el mundo.
Las armas que hoy utilizan para asegurarse recursos, mañana se volverán contra nosotrxs.
Hacemos un llamamiento a todxs lxs anarquistas, antiautoritarixs y antimilitaristas para que actúen estos días en La Haya y en todo el mundo en solidaridad internacional. Dejemos que los detalles de nuestros planes crezcan juntos. Organicémonos juntxs y preparemos nuestras acciones, juntxs se lo haremos saber: Rechazamos las falsas opciones del nacionalismo. Rechazamos la falsa idea de la OTAN, que está ahí para proteger. Rechazamos la brutalidad de su militarismo y las doctrinas marciales de guerra. Rechazamos sus propuestas de presupuesto que matarán de hambre las arcas de la clase obrera y apoyamos a las víctimas y a lxs desertorxs de todas las guerras.
Ni guerra entre pueblos, ni paz entre clases.
