Homenaje a la Revolución Española a 90 años
Este año en el contexto de los 90 años de la Revolución Social Española, desde la Federación Libertaria Argentina (FLA) realizaremos una actividad abierta en nuestro local el sábado 18 de julio a las 19 hs.
A nosotros esta fecha nos toca de cerca por que durante Revolución Social Española, la FLA (que durante la primera parte de la década de 1930 se llamó Federación Anarco-Comunista Argentina FACA y en 1955 paso a llamarse como hoy día) participó y apoyo de manera activa esta gesta revolucionaria.
Por esta razón, la editorial Reconstruir, sello editorial de la FLA, publica dos libros sobre esta importante experiencia revolucionaria. Los dos libros fueron editados especialmente para esta fecha y serán presentados el día de la actividad Homenaje a la Revolución Española a 90 años:
El primero es una investigación de un compañero de la FLA y del colectivo Ácratas de Salta, que titula: “José Puertas, Un anarquista salteño en la Revolución Social Española”. Hijo de migrantes españoles, Puertas nació en Salta (en el norte de Argentina) pero a muy corta edad su familia retornó a la Península Ibérica, específicamente al País Vasco. Allí pasó buena parte de su adolescencia y con el correr del tiempo, forjó su propia historia como militante anarquista en una España convulsionada. Esta región se encontraba inmersa en un proceso pre-revolucionario, con los sectores conservadores preparados para interrumpir la II República Española. El Golpe de Estado, que se consumó en 1936, dio inicio a la Guerra Civil Española entre 1936 y 1939, pero en paralelo a la conflagración se desarrollaron distintas experiencias revolucionarias. El segundo libro compila dos investigaciones realizadas por las compañeras Nadia Ledesma Prietto y Gisela Manzoni. Los trabajos se titulan: “A thread in the transnational warp. Ana Piacenza/Nita Nahuel’s unpatriotic trajectory between Argentina and Spain” and “In a world of Free Women, why not make feminism anarchist?”. El primer articulo, busca visibilizar y problematizar la historia de las luchas por la emancipación femenina. En él se reconstruyen la militancia anarquista de Ana Piacenza (1906-1972) trayectoria escasamente recordada. Ana participó activamente en la conformación FACA. En 1936 viajó a España para colaborar en la Revolución y sus aportes fueron importantes en las organizaciones: Mujeres Libres, el periódico Tierra y Libertad, la radio de la CNT–FAI, entre otros espacios. En las décadas siguientes, ya en la ciudad de Rosario (Argentina), continuó comprometida de forma infatigable e impulsó la formación de nuevos espacios como la Unión de Mujeres Socialistas Libertarias. La reconstrucción biográfica está acompañada de una serie de fotografías que testimonian su paso por Barcelona en 1937. A todo esto le hemos sumado la transcripción íntegra de los distintos artículos que Ana Piacenza propagó en publicaciones militantes de la época. Mientras que el segundo articulo aborda el rol de las mujeres durante la revolución española y las razones para crear espacios por fuera de las organizaciones sindicales o políticas, y los debates que debieron librar incluso dentro de las organizaciones ideológicamente afines. Este último libro será presentado durante el Homenaje a la Revolución Española a 90 años el día 18 de julio, junto a sus autoras.
Ademas durante este homenaje se dará lectura de escritos de Ana Piacenza, habrá musica en vivo: con Gaita rebelde y Flamenco revolucionario, feria de libros y comida para compartir.

Homage to the Spanish Revolution, 90 years on
This year, to mark the 90th anniversary of the Spanish Social Revolution, the Argentine Libertarian Federation (FLA) will be holding an open event at our premises on Saturday 18 July at 7 pm.
This date is of particular significance to us because, during the Spanish Social Revolution, the FLA (which was known as the Argentine Anarcho-Communist Federation (FACA) during the early 1930s and adopted its current name in 1955) actively participated in and supported this revolutionary struggle. For this reason, Reconstruir, the FLA’s publishing house, is publishing two books on this significant revolutionary experience. Both book have been published especially for this occasion and will be presented on the day of the event, Homage to the Spanish Revolution, 90 years on:
The first is a piece of research by a comrade from the FLA and the Ácratas de Salta collective, entitled: “José Puertas, An Anarchist from Salta in the Spanish Social Revolution”. The son of Spanish migrants, Puertas was born in Salta (in northern Argentina), but at a very young age his family returned to the Iberian Peninsula, specifically to the Basque Country. There he spent much of his adolescence and, over time, forged his own history as an anarchist activist in a Spain in turmoil. This region was in the throes of a pre-revolutionary process, with conservative factions poised to bring down the Second Spanish Republic. The coup d’état, which took place in 1936, led to the Spanish Civil War broke out between 1936 and 1939, but various revolutionary movements developed in parallel with the conflict. The second book brings together two research projects carried out by our comrades Nadia Ledesma Prietto and Gisela Manzoni. The papers are entitled: “A thread in the transnational warp. Ana Piacenza/Nita Nahuel’s unpatriotic trajectory between Argentina and Spain” and “In a world of Free Women, why not make feminism anarchist?”. The first article seeks to highlight and examine the history of the struggles for women’s emancipation. It reconstructs the anarchist activism of Ana Piacenza (1906–1972), a figure whose life and work are rarely remembered. Ana played an active role in the founding of FACA. In 1936, she travelled to Spain to support the Revolution, and her contributions were significant within organisations such as Mujeres Libres, the newspaper Tierra y Libertad, and the CNT–FAI radio station, amongst other initiatives. In the decades that followed, now living in the city of Rosario (Argentina), she remained tirelessly committed and spearheaded the formation of new organisations such as the Union of Libertarian Socialist Women. This biographical account is accompanied by a series of photographs documenting her time in Barcelona in 1937. We have also included the full transcripts of the various articles that Ana Piacenza published in militant publications of the time. Meanwhile, the second article examines the role of women during the Spanish Revolution and the reasons for creating spaces outside trade union or political organisations, as well as the debates they had to wage even within. This latest book will be presented during Homage to the Spanish Revolution, 90 years on 18 July, alongside its authors.
In addition, during this tribute there will be a reading of Ana Piacenza’s writings, live music featuring ‘bagpipe rebelde’ and ‘Flamenco revolucionario’, a book fair and food to share.
