Let’s take up the wind of the Serbian revolt – Communiqué 15th Sept 2025
Beyond the Alps, our eyes and hearts are focused on the barricades and Serbian assemblies. From our transalpine brothers and sisters come news of a leaderless revolution that has been taking to the streets for nearly a year, which confronting corruption and state repression.
In reaction to the tragedy of the collapse of the canopy of the Novi Sad train station (November 1, 2024) which left 15 dead and many injured. The mobilization quickly rallied students, workers and the unemployed, mixing in the same struggle rural and urban population.
European leaders, more interested in economic interests than individual freedoms, agree in their silence to support the autocrat Aleksandar Vučić in his unlimited violence against the Serbian social movement.
In the face of this, we continue to proclaim our solidarity with the revolutionary comrades engaged in this battle.
Let us draw inspiration from and salute the plenums, those local, horizontal, autonomous assemblies that are self-organizing the social revolt. The mobilization that begins on September 10, 2025 in France, must hear this loud echo from Serbia, just waiting to be relayed and amplified.
As anarchists, let’s massively spread and strengthen our connection with the Serbian revolutionaries, who bring new blood and anti-authoritarian to revolutionary methods of organization.
In our assemblies, let us be vigilant and firm in the face of attempts to authoritarian and/or electoralist to monopolize a free and ungovernable movement. Let us not allow the soviets to slip away again under the control of the Bolsheviks.
It is only by getting rid of hierarchy that the social movement will be able to fully express its revolutionary radicalism and carry forward, far beyond simple reforms, a project for an emancipatory society.
Long live the revolution of the plenum!
